I've been skiing on the same Alpina boots for years. At the end of the 04-05 season the ankle cuff broke off its pivot. I felt like they were comfortable, well built, and well suited to both skating and classic. Their time was up, but I was satisfied with them so I went with Alpina again. The fit of the new boots is a bit roomier than the old ones, and they're a bit stiffer in the ankle. Overall more suited to skating. They seem well built and well designed, so I'm satisfied with my purchase. I just wish I had a chance to ski them before the season ended.
