Anabatic Jacket - Men's
The Arc'teryx Anabatic Jacket is your first defense against gusty weather. A double weave Twincam fabric is textured on the inside to keep the jacket from sticking to you on windy days, and has the breathability needed for high output pursuits. The reverse coil front zipper prevents bunching, giving you a smooth ride. This jacket is super packable, as it stuffs into its own chest pocket. Arc'teryx took the same care crafting this piece as they do their expedition garments. Signature features, like laminated zips, and gusseted sleeves, signal the Anabatic as a top-notch piece.

Bottom Line: Batten down the hatches and zip up the Anabatic, it's going to be a blustery ride.

Reviews:

Great ultralight wind shell
I have had it for over a year now, and it is a great product. Extremely light, durable, good looking, takes almost no space in the pack. Blocks the wind very well (except the neck is a bit exposed), protects from light rain (especially while the water repellent finish is new).On the down side, it is pricey (but worth the price), and not exactly breathable. When it gets warm and you are going up slope with a pack, it can get a bit clammy on the inside. But I guess that is not a recommended use for it. The sleeve pocket is not much use to me, but maybe I just need to be shown what to do with it.Overall, a top notch wind shell, if a bit expensive. As always, Arcteryx quality and design are ten years ahead of other manufacturers'.

the 'perfect layer'
This is a great jacket - versatile and easy. Plus it stuffs into its own pocket and makes for a good pillow. Lightweight and windproof.

Anabatic Jacket
Great Jacket- However, over the past two years, I have noticed that the sizing for some Arc'teryx clothing has differed greatly. Sometimes a small is too big, and a medium too small. It is quite strange laying three of my medium Arc'teryx garments to see that they are substantially different. Perhaps I was unlucky with my batch, but I thought one might consider this when purchasing. Otherwise, the quality is superb. Even with the sizing flaws, I would pick Arc'teryx materials and craftsmanship over Helly Hansen, The North Face, and Lowe Alpine.
