Buy Gemini Headlamp at Backcountry

Gemini Headlamp
The Black Diamond Gemini Headlamp has a Long Life Xenon bulb (70m, 7hrs) for camp chores and two super bright LED bulbs (10m, 500hrs) for traveling or climbing at night. In case of trouble, the Gemini has a strobe feature. Different situations require different kinds of illumination, but the Gemini is the only headlamp you need to carry. The Xenon bulb provides long-distance illumination for when you need to know what's lurking in the shadows. The LED bulbs throw a ghostly 10 meters of light and last for a whopping 500 hours. Put them together and you get a versatile, compact lighting solution for all of your outdoor adventures. The Gemini is waterproof, too, so you aren't worrying about your lamp when you're chest deep in mucky canyon water.

Black Diamond Gemini Headlamp

Bottom Line: The only headlamp you will ever need.

Happy to have upgraded
I turned in my old incandescent Princeton for this Black Diamond--and felt immediately happier. I tried it out this weekend near Parker Pass. It is a little bulky compared to my friend's all-LED Petzl, and at first the two LED's didn't quite seem bright enough outside. However, inside the tent it was a perfect amount of light. (Maybe the next version can have two levels of LED brightness.) But I loved not having to stress about using up my batteries the way I did before. And having the option of being able to switch to the Xenon bulb when necessary was great. That thing lights up far. Also, loved the smoothness of the beam, unlike my old Princeton, which projected an uneven light field.

Great all around
I love my Gemini headlamp. It's light enough that it doesn't feel cumbersome, even when wearing it for extended amounts of time. The bulbs are bright enough for finding your way around camp, seeing a trail in the dark, or even for climbing at night. The construction is very beefy as well. You don't have to worry about it breaking when you drop it while dancing around the campfire after a few too many beers one night.

Light in the Barn
I bought this headlamp so I could find my way to the barn when night falls at 6:00pm and horses, sheep, and dogs need to be fed. I love the headlamp although my husband laughs at me when I come in wearing it. I can see without fumbling around and feel much safer because of it. I let a friend try it out and she says she plans to order one too.

fair headlamp
I would have only good things to say about this headlamp, if it were not for the false claims on the Black Diamond website, that the beam can be focused in and out. It does not do this. Otherwise, it is a good deal for its price.

Great Headlamp
This headlamp looks big when you put it on, but once on you only notice the great quality of light(s) that it provides. I am really enjoying this headlamp.
