| The CamelBak TransAlp is essential for commuting through the city or pushing the limits during an adventure race. No matter the terrain, this pack keeps you hydrated and feeling good with 100oz water capacity (that's 3L)! A main overflow pocket is the perfect place to store a bike helmet, and an extra pair of shoes fits nicely in the side mesh pockets. Full-zip back panel access makes loading a full reservoir a snap, and its Air Mesh ventilating fabric keeps you cool and comfortable for hours while you maneuver around traffic or Mother Nature's obstacles. If it starts to rain, brandish the rain cover to keep things dry. This bag is top of the line. |

Reviews:
Bought it again! This is my second TransAlp since my first was stolen/lost. Given a second opportunity I went back to exactly the same pack. Plenty of room but not too bulky.
Nice pack, however... The Transalp is a very nice pack that was probably designed for biking and for carrying gear when commuting and traveling. However, the waist belt is not adequate for day hiking and backpacking. The belt is not padded and the portion of the belt that rests on the hips is a 1-inch-wide nylon strap. Also, it does not have loops or ties for carrying gear outside the pack. Overall, the Transalp is a good quality pack that should last for years. If looking for a pack for day hiking and light backpacking, take a look at the CamelBak Peakbagger.
Camelbak Transalp The ideal piece of kit of you want a bag that fits perfectly, carries the right amount of gear, and the contents remain dry in the worst rain. A great design for any mountain biker.
Bought as a gift I bought this pack as a gift for my brother. He fell in love with it the minute he saw it. He is taking it with him all around Europe right now. It's durable and very comfortable.
Trans Alp! I live in Vancouver BC, Where I comute every day, and it also rains every other day. Let me tell you that I spent about four weeks researching which Backpack would best fit my needs, and found that the Trans Alp by Camelbak is without a doubt the best product out there for any commuter, in any weather.
