Reviews:

Easily adjustable, extremely light on the head
This helmet was awarded the "Editors Choice" award from Climbing Magazine for good reason. It is extremely light on the head, and accomodates head lamps excellently. It is extremely light on the head. In fact, my headlamp is more noticeable on my head when hiking a long distance than this helmet is. (Note to self: time to get a new headlamp)The best feature, I think, is the extremely easy adjustements. There is only one place you have to adjust the size, and it takes care of the rest. (Of course, you can fine tune the fit of the chin straps if you desire.)This helmet is designed for both Kayaking and Climbing - so you don't have to worry about what happens to it if it gets wet... Which in the case of canyoneering a tough canyon (ie heaps) is most likely the case.

Helmet fine...BC shipped open item
I purchased this helmet to use at an Adventure Race that required it. I had to wear it for several hours, including during 3hrs of canoeing and it was comfortable enough. There is more foam in the top than I had expected and the around the ear straps are a bit annoying to adjust (never could get it to stop rubbing my ears). I'm an MTB'er so I guess I'm spoiled by helmets that are much more comfortable (and with a visor). The around the head tension worked good though.I was very disappointed and concerned to find my "new" helmet purchase in previously opened packaging. The helmet was already scuffed and there were no tags or labels in the packaging or attached. Safety equipment is not something I want to receive in a possibly "used" state but I was within a week of needing this for my race so I was stuck.
