Beckwith Hiking Boot - Men's
Chaco's impressive version of a beefy, durable backcountry boot offers you Chaco's orthotic-inspired footbed for amazing comfort; a quick-drying, waterproof nubuck leather upper for those inevitable soggy days; a nylon shank for added support; the flexibility of a polyurethane midsole; and a non-slip rubber sole to keep you upright during your summit attempt—and on the way down. One of the great things about this boot is its exceptional Achilles tendon support and protection, enabled by a padded rear collar. Steep descents and steep ascents are this boot's bag—go where mountain goats fear to tread! Lace-to-toe lacing, along with a slightly narrower heel, add to the glove-like fit of this unique boot.

Chaco Beckwith Hiking Boot - Men's

Bottom Line: The boot for comfort-loving hardcore hikers and backpackers.

Reviews:

Best boot ever
I've been backpacking for almost 30 years, and the Chaco Beckwith is the best boot I've owned. I have a high-arched, narrow-heeled, broad instep foot, and every other boots, including some excellent ones, have been a compromise. Not the Beckwiths, which fit my feet, at least, perfectly. I also admit to being a traditionalist about all-leather boots; these are the lightest all-leather boots I've used. They've held up very well, too.

Chaco Beckwith Hiking Boots
The Chaco Beckwith hiking/mountaineering boot fits my size 13, low volume feet well. And this has been difficult to do. The heel is snug and the toe box is roomy. Arch supports are substantial and help with big loads. The only negative so far is that the leather makes a creaking sound when I walk.

Chaco Beckwith
I had read the other reviews on these boots and decided to give them a try. I go through two or more pairs a year in my job and need a comfortable boot. I put them on when they arrived (on the day promised) and they felt like the usual stiff pair of new boots. I walked about 20 yards to my mailbox and by the time I got back to the house they felt like I had been wearing them for months. So far I haven't had any trouble with them except the tongue wants to travel around to the outside of my left foot and the inside of my right foot. Could be me, but this the only thing I could complain about. I will continue to buy this boot from now on.

Like so much I had to purchase a 2nd pair
The comfort and quality of these boots is amazing. I have struggled finding serious hiking boots that fit my feet, and I have tried many boots in the $200-$300 range. I have high-volume feet, since they are wide with a high arch. I was ecstatic when I found the Backwith. I have yet to read a review of these boots on any website that gives less than a 5* rating.

Not good for me.
These boots were just not right for my foot. I tried wearing them around the house, several day hikes and two different sizes but I kept getting blisters on the heel and on top of my foot opposite the ball of my foot. This boot may be good for others but it was definitely wrong for my foot.
