Drafter Backpack - 650cu in
The DAKINE Drafter pack is a smaller hydration pack with a 70 oz Flowlock reservoir and sweet gear organization systems. External compression straps easily attach body armor, while drop-down organizer pockets, a fleece lined sunglass pocket, an external zippered tool pocket and three interior mesh tool pockets keep your other gear in order. The Flowlock has a neoprene hose cover, and the Drafter's reservoir pocket is insulated, so you can sip cool water in the summer heat, and not worry about your H2O freezing in the winter. Breathable Dri-Mesh shoulder straps and adjustable sternum and waist belts help keep sweat off your skin and the pack from sliding or chafing as you ride.

Bottom Line: Bring a lot more than water on your next adventure.

DAKINE Drafter Backpack - 650cu in
This is an excellent backpack - used it for backcountry boarding a few days after getting it. it is very comfortable and has all the options you could need.

Great - but odd differences
I've used the pack several times -- it is great for mountain bike patrol. The separate insulated water compartment means I can keep all my first aid gear dry - which fits nicely in all of the various other pockets. There are some odd differences from the advertisement though - such as the advertised, but non-existent fleece lined sunglasses pocket. Otherwise I am extremely happy with it! The only thing I would change would be to have some webbing chain on the back for clipping things to.

What a great pack. It is super comfortable, and great looking.

Drafter Rocks
The Dakine Drafter is great, I have used it about five times now, water flows perfectly, and all the organization pockets are great. I keep tools I need in the hook and loop sleeve for quick access, other stuff inside. I got warm on one ride and put a long sleeve T-shirt in it no problem with my other stuff. It stays in place, I even took a pretty good endo this past Sunday and all items were in the pack were fine.

Pack is fine the only thing that bothers me was the hydration tube itself.. it was bent and the water backs up. (Like bending a garden hose while the water is running) so I have to keep readjusting it. A little painful to have to stop on the mountain to fix.
