In fact, since it's made out of ultralight, waterproof SilLite silicone-impregnated nylon, it's lighter than most tarps. The open-front design gives you tons of ventilation. Reflective guy-lines increase visibility, so you aren't tripping over those little cords at night. The Lair 2 holds two people comfortably and is ideal for ultralight backpackers and through-hikers.
