This version has a wider toe to easily fit snowboard boots, which are generally broader in the toe area. Fits older wider leather boots as well. A crampon to fit a large boot.
I am a National Ski Patroller who spends much of his time doing work on the mountain, unfortunately not always on skis. For years when I needed to climb I would have to change out of my warm toasty muck luck boots into my non-insulated climbing boots so I would have a crampon that I could rely on. With the G-10 not only can I use it on my largest of insulated boots with total reliability but it works just as well wiith my snowboard boots.These crampons are super easy to put on and adjust. I was working an extrication of an injured skier, and being first arrival patroller, I was in need of numerous medical supplies but my crampons as well since I was working off piste on a 35 to 40 degree pitch. In full patrol gear and clothing I was easily able to get my crampons on. We never could have done the extrication without the use of the G-10!!!!
