Siltarp3 - 10x12ft
Integral Designs Siltarp3 is designed for adventure racers that need an extremely light weight and versatile tarp to protect them from the elements. The Siltarp3 will protect 4-5 peeps in a semi-enclosed, modified, A-frame or it can become a wind/rain shelter for a larger group. The Siltarp3 is a 10x12 ft rectangular tarp made from ultra light waterproof nylon. The 30 denier parachute ripstop nylon with silicon impregnation weighs only 1.35 oz per sq yard. It is incredibly strong and resilient. The Siltarp3 is designed for groups looking for a lightweight shelter. At 20oz (560g) it is light enough to take on all trips. The Siltarp3 has a seam down the center of the 12-foot length, which provides extra strength but does require manual sealing (Silnet seam sealant included). There is one lightweight nylon tie loop sewn to a reinforced center patch and 20 lightweight nylon webbing loops sewn to the corners and at 2-foot intervals along the 12-foot sides and 2'6" intervals along the 10-foot sides. These loops facilitate a variety of setups on trekking poles, paddles, avalanche probes or off trees.

Bottom Line: Amazingly versatile, the number of ways that this tarp can be set up are limitless.

Reviews:

Slick little bugger
The Siltarp 3 is a great tarp with some nice features. The loops every two feet make for a very easy setup. The quality of construction is first rate. The color we chose was gray, although I must say it's a greenish version of gray. The only problem with this tarp is the packing. Since silicone impregnated nylon is, well, made with silicone and nylon, it's extremely slippery and folding it and stuffing into the sack is an exercise in frustration. The process goes much quicker with two people, rather than one. If one person is stuffing however, just take a seat and watch the show!I guess there is no free lunch. It is overpriced in my opinion, but a great tarp with great features.

Light and Durable
Integral Designs is king of lightweight gear, and this is no exception. Incredibly light and durable. You can puncture it with a pen, then rub away the hole! (Don't do this to excess.)
