Oh yeah, freestyle powder riding, you know that ultimate combination of deep snow, fast slopes and fun terrain. 360's off of cliffs into powder, quick turns through the trees and laying back for big slashing rooster tails. K2 rider Brian Savard has been ruling this kind of riding for years. The Legend snowboard is a result of the forward thinking going on in the K2 backcountry camp. The overall shape utilizes a slight taper to help the tail drop into powder. Both the tip and tail are shaped like a shovel to allow for maximum float in deep snow. This unique shape also lets the board ride up and over heavy crud and light powder while riding regular or switch. Adding to the amazing maneuverability is the Hyper Progressive side cut that blends a deep radius under the feet with smooth transition zones at the ends, for fast turning and stability at speeds. Built with K2's own Multi-Polar wood core, for shock absorption and resilience, the Legend is able to feel lively while providing a smooth and stable ride. The powerful pop and edge hold needed for shredding the outback is maintained by the use of Kevlar and Carbon in the lay up of this backcountry bomber. |
