The Evolution wicks moisture with astonishing efficiency, pushing sweaty vapor away from your body and out the fabric face. You don't have to wear the Evolution directly against your skin, but its moisture wicking properties operate best if you do. That's because the greater the temperature/humidity differential between the interior of the shirt and the air outside, the quicker the moisture moves out of the shirt. My name is David and I recently purchased the Marmot Half Zip Evolution long sleeve shirt from backcountry. Never have I bought a product and gotten so much out of it. I went to the high Canadian arctic to a national park called Auyuiittu. I hiked through ancient glaciers and fjords for over eight days and the Marmot shirt was on me 24/7. It was a perfect mid layer, or even base layer when the sun was out and the wind finally stopped. It is definitely worth the money. I am going to buy stock in marmot. Completely water proof, highly breathable, and more comfortable then gods own robes.If it works 150km north of the Arctic Circle, and delivers these kinds of results, then you know it’s good.

This is a great shirt. You can wear it as a base layer or over a base layer. It's extremely breathable and does a great job of blocking wind. I was able to keep warm with this and a base layer at 10,000ft while hiking in the Sierras. Other hikers with more and thicker layers were having trouble keeping warm. This is an absolutely fantastic product.
