Nice stuff
Works totally as advertised, waterproof to the max, really like the zippered legs making them easy to put on. They are waterproof at 55 mph in a downpour on a motorcycle, Could use a more convenient way of tightening the waist.
Marmot Rain Gear
Its a great item to be carried in your pack. It can be rolled very small which means it does not take up a lot of valuable space in a small day-pack. It has kept me dry in some pretty serious mountain rain storms.
Marmot Precip pants
Very well built, PreCip material is very light, very strong, slightly (hardly) noisy. Excellent features: 1/2 leg zippers, snaps at bottom, gusseted crotch, zipper pocket. Seems breathable, but I have not really put it to a real sweat test. A superior product.
good rainwear
I have been very satisfied with most Marmot gear I own. Precip is superb in waterproofness with some more breathability to be desired, and Marmot has addressed this problem with the new Oracle stuff. What I was a bit disappointed with these pants is that the length seems to be inconsistent with other Marmot pants: while normally size M from Marmot fits me perfectly, these pants are a little short on me, thus exposing much of the shoes' surface to rain. Perhaps Marmot was assuming that people would wear waterproof shoes to go with Precip pants, I'm not sure. On the "up" side, although I don't think Marmot designed these pants to be this way, they easily stow away into the hip pocket, and the creases disappear really fast after you put the pants on. Very nice quality of the Precip fabric on top of the kudos it's received.

So far, so good. Impressed with waterproofness. Wish they were more breathable.
