Reviews:
The Swiss Mountans on Denali Lightning Denali Lightning Ascent (Men's edition) are superbly light, can be easliy fixed even with moderatly thick gloves and don't slip even on hard snow. They remain firmly on the foot even in difficult or steep areas. We have used them in powder snow (which, in Switzerland, is not quite as fluffy as in the US or Canada), on groomed ski tracks and on hard snow with equal success. Their shape prevents stepping on the other foot's snow shoe most of the time. The womens' model is 2 cm (0.8in) narrower and imposes less of a John-Wayne walking style on the wearer.Expensive but great equipment!
MSR lightning ascent snowshoes I am an avid snowshoer that spends most of my time hiking the local ski hill once a week on the groomed runs, off trail steep hiking/running and some deep powder shoeing. I liked the look of the ascent and the televator but that was about it. I found the price to be high for the product. The binding system is nice but as far as on/off time I found them to be about the same as my old Redfeathers and Tubbs. I also slid back on ascent more than my other shoes which is surprising considering these were made for traction. Overall score 7/10. I sold these to a friend after using them twice.
Bullet-proof This is a very warm coat and virtually waterproof. The fit is slightly small but, with the other reviews, I ordered right. I think the coat should last about 78.3 years - with my 35-40 days riding per year. I love it. Can't wait for next year's really cold days!
