MSR Repair Kit
MSR maintenance kit worked perfectly. The MSR Water filter was not working but after using the maintenance kit, everything worked as if it was new. I would recommend that you always carry a maintenance kit when going into the back country.
worth the money
If you have either the Mini Works or Water Works, this kit is a must have - nice and lightweight and in a nice hard plastic case. Comes with everything you need to pretty much completely rebuild the filter.
evidence of failure
This is definately a necessity if you own an MSR filter, yet also a very obvious sign. All these small, intricate parts are bound to break. I like the Katadyn designs as they are much simpler with less parts.
