The Beast 12's upper buckles are Nordica's Servolock II buckles, which lock you in solidly, but use a clever Servo system pull open or snap closed with minimal pressure. comfort performance
I have a wide foot and tried on about a dozen boots. Demoed three. The Beast12W, Salomon xwave 8W, Technica Diablo FlameW. All top performance boots for wide feet.They were all very close in performance. For my foot I gave the edge in all day comfort to the Beast, the Technica Flame was easier to get in and out of, and the Xwave8 just was a tad tight for me. The beast just felt it had the edge. Demo all 3 if you can. It's well worth the time and effort.
