| When you're waiting for your shuttle after a monster descent, you want to be as comfortable as you were when you were riding. The Oakley MTB 2.2 women's shorts have a built-in chamois for comfort and protection while on the bike, and a long, baggy outer shell for relaxing without a worry after the ride. Leg vents keep you cool during midsummer heat waves, and both zip and snap pockets keep track of necessary pieces gear. |
Oakley MTB 2.2 Shorts - Women's |
Bottom Line: Comfy on the bike and off. |
Reviews:
Nice features I love the vents, liner, and the chamois is nice. Fabric is nice and breathable, but it tore in my first wreck while wearing them. :( The fit is also not quite right for women with curves. The waist is big, hips are small (what I'd expect wearing a guys short). Size seems to run a bit small overall and they probably would best fit women who aren't particularly curvy. But I love the pockets and features - I wish I could find the same short with a cut that fit me better. I'd definitely stick to using them more for XC use since they're not incredibly durable, but they are comfortable for XC.
nice ride Excellent shorts! The only way to enjoy a century bike ride.
Awesome shorts! My husband has a pair of Oakley mountain bike shorts and loves them, so when a pair of my old shorts bit the dust, I knew I wanted a pair of them for myself. I wear them on my commute to work, and they're perfect for cool weather in the AM, and I open the leg vents for the uphill ride in the PM. They're comfy and durable!
Great Shorts! These are the most comfortable and practical shorts I have ever worn. I wear them MTB and road biking. The pads are soft and absorbent, no rough seams to chafe. The zippers on the legs do wonders for cooling here in TX, and I personally love having bicycle shorts with some style (not to mention pockets!).
A cut above. Being a big fan of Oakley bike shorts myself, I've been looking for some for my wife. Got a great deal here and surprised her with them. Up until now she hasn't been wearing "baggies" for mountain biking, due to the extremely short inseam on most of them (obviously designed by someone of my gender...). The Oakleys are a bit longer than most and she was very happy with the fit. What pleased her more was their comfort. They have a very well-designed inner liner and chamois. I knew she would like them because they are every bit the quality of the men's Oakley product, just cut for her. Needless to say, I got her another pair at the sale price.
