Osprey Vertigo 25
Although this pack is designed as a climbing pack, I found it ideal for hauling snowshoes (using the two rear compression straps) which is why I purchased it. It will easily hold all the gear necessary for a long winter day trip. It is extremely well made, very comfortable, easy to adjust, and relatively light considering its bullet-proof construction. I found the gear-loop tie-ins mounted on the hipbelt to be perfect for hauling a water bottle (with associated VELCRO® holder). A great product highly recommended.

Fantastic bag
I never thought I'd say this, but the bag would be worth the ~$150 list price. It is the most comfortable and useful pack I've owned, absolutely worth it.
