The S1 offers maximum performance, speed and lightness to optimize performance in conditions where very high speeds are possible. Cold weather racers, the S1 is for you. The S2 is a more all-around skating ski; it's stable and easy to use. It's for someone who demands high-end performance and skis in a variety of snow types and temperatures. Rossignol gave both the S1 and S2 their Racing Cobra sidecut, designed for extremely free-flowing and stable skiing. This system enables a quicker return to the steering axis at the end of the gliding phase. The honeycomb core of the X-ium Skate Ski is a very light material that lends consistent camber and compression making it easier to get into a skate rhythm. Rossignol also gave their X-ium Skate Ski their Dualtec construction for fluid, effective gliding. Dualtec is an active Cap with vertical sidewalls made from Triax; a rigid material that gives skiers optimum energy transmission. |
