Pro Trek 6 GTX Hiking Boot - Women's
The Salomon Pro Trek 6 GTX is a super light, waterproof suede boot designed to handle extended trips through rugged terrain, making it perfect for serious hiking & backpacking. A Gore-Tex lining ensures your feet will stay dry, and makes the Pro Trek 6 GTX a GREAT VALUE compared to other Gore-Tex boots. Mountaineering influenced, Salomon equipped the Pro Trek 6 with a texture-varied Contagrip2 sole with softer, sticky pods in the center for awesome traction and harder rubber on the perimeter for durability & lateral stability. A rubber toe cap means business as it protects your toes & forefoot from rocks and terrain. Pull ‘n' go with a convenient one pull lacing system & lace lockers.

Salomon Pro Trek 6 GTX Hiking Boot - Women's

Bottom Line: Excellent price for a Gore-Tex boot.

Love 'em
These boots just got a great rating in Backpacker magazine and for good reason. Solid base, good ankle support, very little break in time. Feels a bit roomy in the toe box but that hasn't been a problem. Planning to use these babies to hike the Grand Canyon in the fall. Have been using them for day and weekend hikes right now on the east coast. Good choice. I am very happy. You will be too.

Hiking Boot
These boots are perfect for scrambling up rocky terrain because of their gummy sole. They provide enough support but yet are flexible enough. I am very happy with them.

mountain goat
I just wore these boots this weekend. I ordered my true size, hardly broke them in. All you need is a good hiking sock. This was a long hike up the icy Kinsman peakes...Not one sore or complaint. Awesome!

Overland Trail Tassie
I've just completed the Overland Trail in Tasmania. It was 10 days of hiking along mud and rocks and scrambling up some interesting peaks like Cradle Mountain and Mount Ossa. I was going to wear an old pair of boots that I had but decided to buy a new pair (and they were on special). They were so comfortable for the entire 10 days and I felt very confident scrambling the rocks in them. I would totally recommend them to anyone. One of my friends who came along had bought a pair of more expensive boots and he was telling us how good they were...all up until the sole shredded on the 9th day. We were meant to stay for 12 days and do some more side trips but headed out in 10 due to his boot not holding up. We had to strap his boot up with strapping tape which didn't hold up then web taped it with another strap, it all came apart only a few meters from the end of the track. Thanks, I really did enjoy my trip in my Salomon's.

Great Boots
I love these boots. Great ankle support, completely water proof, and comfortable. I usually wear a 9.5, but this brand runs a little big, so I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly. My boyfriend like them so much that he purchased the men's version, and he loves his as well.
